12 Additions to a Healthy Manifestation Practice
When learning about conscious manifestation, it's easy to get hyper-focused on doing as many techniques as possible, but what you do outside of those techniques matters just as much. It's hard to get into a state of receiving when your general energy is stressed/frantic. When you finally relax, is when you receive.
Here are a dozen ideas for other things you can do that support a healthy manifestation practice and help you feel more relaxed and calm afterwards (and of course you don't need to do all of them, choose the ones that work best for you):
1. Meditation
This can be guided (plenty of guided meditations on YouTube) or self-guided. It helps to start with a full body scan first. Then, simply become an observer of your thoughts. Meditation isn't about thinking no thoughts, it's about detaching from thoughts, meaning not identifying with them and understanding that you are not your thoughts, you are the consciousness, the awareness, that's observing your thoughts.
2. Spending time in nature
You can go for a nature walk in your local park, or on a hike, or simply head to your own backyard. Observe the sights and sounds of nature, take in the beauty. What do you notice?
3. Dancing/moving to release
Even if you're not good at dancing, this is an excellent way to release stagnant/stuck energy... because it doesn't matter HOW you move, just THAT you do move, in whatever way comes naturally to you.
4. Emotional freedom technique (tapping)
There's tons of follow-along EFT videos on YouTube. It's a series of carefully placed taps on particular parts of your body and is often combined with affirmations.
5. Daily gratitude
My favorite way to do this is to recount 5 specific things from that day that I'm grateful for before going to sleep at night. It helps you extend your gratitude beyond the usual things (shelter, food, etc.) and renew your sense of gratitude by having new things you're grateful for everyday.
6. Journaling (not scripting)
It's good practice to journal to reflect and process things on your mind. It's easy to let them out of your head when you put them down on paper, otherwise they keep swirling.
7. Breathwork
There's literally so many different kinds of breathwork, again you can choose any type that suits you and follow along a YouTube video. There's the 3-part yogic breath, the physiological sigh, box breathing, diaphragmatic breathing, breathing meditations with 1 min breath-holds, etc. Try out a few and see which works best for you.
8. Grounding techniques
There's a few different ways to ground yourself. One of the best ways is to walk barefoot on grass and imagine roots going from your feet into the earth. Another way is to simply go for a walk and bring your awareness to each footstep as it touches the ground.
For other grounding techniques see here:

9. Mindfulness
Mindfulness is all about practicing being present in life, i.e. not watching tv while eating, eating mindfully and focusing on the act of eating, the flavors, the textures etc. And this goes for anything you're doing, do it mindfully while being fully present with that experience.
10. Indulge in self-care
What self-care means to you will depend on your preferences. For me it could be simply doing my nails, taking a relaxing bath, reading an engaging book, painting, etc. The activity should be something that's done for you, that you enjoy and makes you feel relaxed.
11. Cold water immersion (ice baths)
I can't speak enough about how much I love ice baths. Of course check with your doctor if this is something that's safe for you to do. But the reason I love ice baths is that the cold shocks your system to the point that you can't think of anything else but the cold, and it brings you out of your head and into the sensations happening inside your body. I usually breath in for 3 counts and out for 7 counts when in an ice bath the whole time that I'm in it. Don't stay in for too long, start with 2-5 min. And the result after the ice bath is silence of the mind and a feeling of being in control because of the control that's required to remain calm and patient in the ice bath.
12. 1:1 Manifestation coaching
Of course this list wouldn't be complete without mentioning my 1:1 coaching, the whole point of which is to help you feel more grounded, relaxed, on track, calm and like you're in the driver's seat when it comes to your life. My clients frequently tell me they feel so much better after talking to me than they did coming into the call, and that's honestly my goal on every call. So if none of the above suggestions work, you can always schedule a session with me, I'd be happy to help!
And that's it! Hopefully this list inspires you to try some new things :)
